BACK TO SCHOOL!
All right, time to buckle down, comb your hair, and for Pete’s Sake, PLEASE spit out that gum! Okay, well, maybe we’re not all going back to school, but one thing is absolutely critical this year: please, pretty please, don’t forget to support ALL of the local businesses. I know September and October are busy months, and many of the people in Vernon aren’t used to thinking locally, but listen to me now and believe me later: without local support, this town is going to lose what businesses it has, and it will be unable to attract any new ones. And by support, what that means is patronage and endorsement lasting longer than the first 3 to 6 months of operation. It’s got to be regular and steady, if not constant. If you want this town to change and be a better place, we’re all going to have to invest in the businesses that are here, right now, trying to improve your quality of life.

FOOTBALL APPROACHETH!
That’s right, pilgrims! I can’t get you here any other way, so we’re going to start showing college football on the big screen! Get your Guns Up! Hook ’em Horns! All OU Fans need not apply. Stay tuned for more developments and get ready to actually, physically leave your house for a few hours on Saturdays!

MODIFIED HOURS OF OPERATION
As we barrel down the chute in anticipation of the return of Football season, we find ourselves re-evaluating our business model yet again. Please note our modified show times for this weekend.
In the coming months, we will not be opening as many movies, but rather bringing them in two-to-four weeks after they have opened. In addition, you will see a much wider variety of films, many of them from smaller companies, in an effort to cast as wide a net as we possibly can to keep this theater afloat. Most of these films will only show for one week, so please keep an eye on our schedules and be sure to come out for the films that you think you’d like to see.

Young At Heart Group Shows!
While it’s true that we only have this great documentary for one week, we will be scheduling extra shows for any groups that are interested in seeing it. Please call Cathy at 839-7874 to reserve a screening time.
